I would like to take this opportunity to apply for the position of Aircraft Engineer at US Airways.

I currently hold this position with Southwest Airlines but I would like to broaden my career my moving into a position with a larger airlines such as yours. I strive to improve the efficiency of work procedures and I can play a major role in streamlining operations while meeting or exceeding all safety standards.

Currently I am responsible for maintaining the general maintenance of the tools used and for helping to keep the work area clean and up-to-date. I perform maintenance to all types of engine systems, which includes modifying and making repairs.

In addition to my hands on training, I also have all of the credentials needed to hold this position including a bachelor’s degree in Engineering. I have the ability to stay organized and on schedule even when things start to get hectic.

I have the ability to be a team player and work hand in hand with other engineers to accomplish the task at hand or to work independently when needed. My communications skills are excellent so it is easy to work with others and to know exactly what is going on at all times. I have a great sense of commitment and a realistic view of the world revolving around aviation, which I believe is a quality needed to work in this type of profession
